Superb Raku for this bottle-shaped soliflore and its two pretty flowers. The details are well marked, the flowers well cracked, making this set a unique and very contemporary decoration. Very elegant and refined, this composition will adorn your coffee table or any other piece of furniture in your home. A unique piece, handmade with the finest energies!
Soliflore and its flowers in raku, glazed white chamotte stoneware with fine craquelé and smoky black parts. Its slightly rough shape reveals the chamotte (small pebbles) on the smoky parts. (Presented with a bowl but sold without).
The flowers are mounted on an iron stem in 6 mm
The bottle alone is 20cm high, 18cm long and 7.5cm wide. It has been waterproofed and can also be used as a vase for cut flowers.
You'll be able to plant your flowers in the pot of a green plant and use your soliflore for natural flowers.
The cracks and matte-black color are obtained by raku firing, an ancient Japanese technique dating back to the 15th century, which the Japanese used for tea ceremonial (see details in the "ABOUT US" tab).
All my pieces are handcrafted in France, made with love in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie, located in the Pyrénées Atlantiques between Pau and Tarbes, facing the beautiful Pyrenees mountains.
Since raku is porous, a special product was used to seal it. Despite all the care I take, it is advisable to carry out a test on a non-fragile surface.
