Raku ceramic decoration in glazed sandstone with a shiny, white enamel, to be placed on a piece of furniture.
The crackled effect and the mat black are achieved using a raku cooking process, an ancient Japanese technique used for tea ceremonies, which dates back to the 15th century. (See details on the "ABOUT" page).
All my pieces are handcrafted in France, made in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie which is located in the Atlantic Pyrenees near Pau.
The raku remains porous, it is not made to receive liquids.
