The poppies are beautiful red.
Raku vase in chamotte clay with a shiny blue glaze and smoky black for the darker parts. Nice height and very stable and you can put cut flowers, dried flowers, artificial flowers or natural wood branches. Perfect as a table center piece. The poppies are glazed in bright red and are beautiful.
The crackled effect and the mat black are achieved using a raku cooking process, an ancient Japanese technique used for tea ceremonies, which dates back to the 15th century. (See details on the "ABOUT" page).
All my pieces are handcrafted in France, made in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie which is located in the Atlantic Pyrenees near Pau. One of a kind piece.
Non contractual photo. As all of my pieces are handmade, the size may vary slightly depending on the shape of each. Each Raku piece is unique, and could have more or less cracks, and the intensity of the cracks may vary. As raku is porous, the waterproof sealing was carried out with a special product. Despite all the attention that I bring to it, it is desirable to do a test on a non-fragile surface.
One of a kind piece. Only one has been made and is available so far.
