Raku Ceramic Blue/Turquoise Soliflore Vase with Red Flower

Raku soliflore vase and its red flower. Glazed sandstone with a shiny, finely cracked, blue/turquoise enamel, and a smoky finish for the parts in black. You can use the vase for dried flowers or natural wood. This soliflore vase is waterproof.

This vase allows you to choose eihter a decoration with its cover and its red flower in raku or to serve as a vase for cut flowers. You can also plant your ceramic flower in a green plant pot to decorate. You have the choice...

The crackled effect and the mat black are achieved using a raku cooking process, an ancient Japanese technique used for tea ceremonies, which dates back to the 15th century. (See details on the "ABOUT" page).

All my pieces are handcrafted in France, made in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie which is located in the Atlantic Pyrenees near Pau.

Non contractual photo. As all of my pieces are handmade, the size may vary slightly depending on the shape of each. Each Raku piece is unique, and could have more or less cracks, and the intensity of the cracks may vary. As raku is porous, it is not naturally waterproof.
