Raku owl in grog stoneware, glazed in brilliant blue/green, smoked on the black parts. Decorative object to place on a piece of furniture.
The cracks and matte-black color are obtained by raku firing, an ancient Japanese technique dating back to the 15th century and used by the Japanese for tea ceremonies (see details in the “ABOUT US” tab).
All my pieces are handmade in France, in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie, located in the Pyrénées Atlantiques near Pau.
