Raku cat in shiny white and smoky black glazed stoneware. This funny cat is a very stable vase with a diameter of 19cm and a weight of almost 3 kg!
The interior of this vase is fully glazed and sealed.

The cracks and matte-black color are obtained by raku firing, an ancient Japanese technique dating back to the 15th century, which the Japanese used for tea ceremonies (see details in the “ABOUT US” tab). The raku firing technique makes each piece unique.
All my pieces are made in France, entirely by hand and with love, in my ceramic workshop Le raku de Sylvie, located in the Pyrénées Atlantiques between Pau 64 and Tarbes 65.
As raku is porous, a special product was used to seal it. Despite all the care I take, it is advisable to be careful.
